Friends have been asking me what's involved in this pre-release time and why am I so busy (my nine year old is the most curious about that ... oh dear ... I'll make it up to him).
There are a lot of moving parts going on right now. In addition to working on the sequel , Eversea is going on a book blitz with (at last count) 104 blogs. That means on the week of release June 10th -16th (next week) these blogs will post something from my PROMO folder that I created, it will probably include the cover, it may also include teasers and quotes or teaser pics. Luckily, I have Giselle from Xpresso Book Tours handling that for me ! She is wonderful and extremely organized. Also, for the month of June , Eversea is on a "review" tour with another 15 blogs thanks to Bound by Love Book Tours , some of whom will also be doing an interview and some of whom I will be sending a unique guest post for their site. Each of these stops requires additional things from me. And when I have to send an electronic Advance Review Copy to a reviewer, I always have a little kitten at trying to figure out the conversion software so I can email it in their preferred format!! It foxes me every time. Especially when it kicks back someone's email address for no apparent reason! Grr. I also have a working spreadsheet of bloggers and reviewers that I am contacting personally and each of them want to be contacted and/or sent information in a different way! :) But of course! I also learned how to create a rafflecopter for the giveaway we're doing for the bloggers and their readers ~ it actually wasn't that hard or time-consuming - YAY! Additionally, Eversea was featured on Read It Review It week on the New Adult Book Club on Goodreads and I emailed preferred versions to twenty people who signed up to review it. It has had some amazing feedback! I am also on my third proof of the paperback! Why - you say? Well, the first had some interesting paragraph run over issues. i.e. if a paragraph didn't finish at the end of the page, the entire thing was bumped over, which left a lot of random white space at the bottom of each page. I finally got my contest badge back from the Winter Rose Contest, and I do not need to have the word "unpublished" on the any references to it, so I had my amazing cover designer Adrian Repasch remove that word ... and soooooo ... third proof. Oh, and of course - you're looking at what else I've been working on. THE WEBSITE !!!!!!! Ok - now back to Jack.
